How do I connect to Whitehall BFC's podcast?

What is Podcasting?
Podcasting is a technical term for an automatic process your computer runs to download media content from your favorite providers.
Let's say you use the internet to listen to your favorite news program, a radio broadcast, last Sunday's sermon at a church 1,000 miles away, and Focus on the Family. Normally, you would have to manually go to each of those websites and download the mp3 file of their broadcast. Now, with a technology called RSS, you can setup your computer to automatically download each of those broadcasts and play them for you when you get home... one right after the other! Using a program like iTunes or Juice, you can subscribe to our church's podcast along with all your other favorite media.

We want to give you simple step-by-step instructions for setting up your subscription to our podcast. It is fairly easy, but be sure to follow the following steps and you will be on your way to listening to our messages. |

The computer you are viewing this web page with can be used to listen to our sermons, which are MP3 files. If your computer doesn't have software capable of playing MP3 files, you can install Windows Media Player by Microsoft or iTunes by Apple or any other MP3 player software. If you have a mobile MP3 player, like an iPOD, then you can even take the podcast files on the road! |

Next, you'll need a software program installed on your computer that can receive podcasts. This program can get our church podcasts as well as countless other podcasts from other churches, ministries, and secular sources. Two we recommend are: |

1. Open Juice to the "Subscriptions" tab.
2. Click the third button, which is called "Add new feed" and looks like a plus sign. 3. Type in our podcast address "http://www.WhitehallBFC.org/rss/podcast" in the "Add a Feed" window. Then click "save" at the bottom of the window.
4. Our podcast will automatically be added to your list of podcasts and the list of our episodes will appear at the bottom of the main page of Juice. 5. You're all set to listen to God's Word being preached! Enjoy! |

The Easy Way 1. Click on this link: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=331661135 The Old-Fashioned Way 1. Open iTunes to the fifth tab "Advanced" and enter the "Subscribe to Podcast..." menu.
2. Type in our podcast address "http://www.WhitehallBFC.org/rss/podcast" in the "Subscribe to Podcast" window. Then click "OK" at the bottom of the window.
3. iTunes will automatically add Whitehall BFC Sermons to your list of podcasts and will download the most recent sermon.
4. You're all set to listen to God's Word being preached! Enjoy! |
